Daily Schedule & Times
’t Veldmuisje daycare centers are open every weekday – except on national holidays – from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are open all year, 52 weeks a year.
Here's what a typical day with us looks like:
7:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Children Arrive
It’s great to have you here! Come on in! Children are dropped off between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. We wave goodbye to mom or dad. Sometimes that brings a tear. Together with our pedagogical professionals, we’ll enjoy some free play, and then the sadness is quickly forgotten.
9:00 AM - 9:30 AM: Cozy Time Together
We clean up the toys together. Then we sit down at the table to eat some fruit. Now that we’re all together at the table, it’s also fun to sing a few songs! Sometimes we read aloud too. Afterward, the children are changed or go to the restroom.
9:30 AM - 11:30 AM: Activity and Outdoor Play
For the next hour and a half, we’ll work on an activity from the Uk & Puk program and play outside together. Of course, there’s also plenty of room for your child to choose what they want to play with.
11:30 AM - 12:15 PM: Lunch
After everything is cleaned up, the infant and toddler groups sit down at the table to eat bread and drink milk. We also put out vegetable pieces, such as cucumber, bell pepper, and tomato. This way, we can eat healthily as well as deliciously.
12:15 PM - 2:30 PM: Rest Time
After eating, it’s time for a restroom and changing round. Then the children who still nap go to sleep. The other children can choose what they want to play with. We often use this time for a relaxing activity, reading books, or playing games that are still too difficult for the younger children. Very special for the oldest children!
2:30 PM - 4:30 PM: Afternoon Activity
When most children are awake again, it’s time for a restroom and changing round. Then we all sit down at the table for some fruit and drinks so everyone has energy for the afternoon activity. Sometimes it’s a group activity, sometimes free play. Whether we stay inside or go outside depends on the weather. If the weather is very bad, we stay indoors.
4:30 PM: Snack
The children get some more vegetables, yogurt, or fruit and something to drink.
4:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Children are Picked Up
Children are picked up starting at 4:30 PM. This can also be earlier by arrangement. We make sure that children who are picked up a little later don’t get bored! See you next time!
